Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 July 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Dish (“Dish”, “we”, “us”), a recipe library and smart shopping-list app. By creating an account or using Dish, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the app.

Using Dish

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the UK and EEA) to use Dish. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to use Dish only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms.

Your licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Dish on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or attempt to extract the source code of the app except where permitted by law.

Your content

You keep ownership of the recipes, shopping lists, notes, images, and other content you create or import (“Your Content”). You grant us the limited rights we need to host, store, process, sync, and display Your Content to operate the service for you — including sharing it with people you choose to share with, and with people in any shared “kitchens” you join.

You are responsible for Your Content and for making sure you have the rights to use and share anything you import into Dish (for example, recipes or images from third-party websites). Don’t upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you don’t have the right to share.

Acceptable use

  • Don’t use Dish to break the law or infringe others’ rights.
  • Don’t attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure.
  • Don’t misuse the import features to scrape, republish, or redistribute third-party content at scale.

Recipe import and AI features

Dish can import recipes from links, pasted text, and TikTok, and structures them using server-side AI. These features are provided on a best-effort basis — imported and generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate, and you should use your own judgement, especially where allergies, dietary needs, or food safety are concerned.

Service availability and changes

We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time. We aim to keep Dish available and reliable, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

Termination

You can stop using Dish and delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that could harm Dish or other users.

Disclaimers

Dish is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dish and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the app.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use Dish after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
